Conflict has officially broken out between The Socialist Republic of Roseari, a communist nation, and the Holy Papal States, a Christian theocracy, after Roseari declared a full-scale Nation War earlier today during a meeting between the Papal, Roseari, Hale, and press members. The primary cause of the declaration is a land dispute: both nations had plans to claim the same area, but according to Roseari officials, the Papal States moved in first, which Roseari ignored — what brought them to war is that they wished to expand further towards Roseari. Roseari claims the land was already designated for their expansion, and sees the Papal move as a direct provocation. But the conflict isn’t just about the land issues. Roseari has also stated issues with their members, accusing members of the Papal States of being homophobic. Roseari leader Lupancham says these behaviors go against everything they stand for and claim this war is to return what is theirs and shut down their hate. At the moment, the Holy Papal States hasn’t made a formal response, but signs point to them potentially giving up.
